Lauren Elizabeth Ingram

Lauren was born with an overwhelming childhood imagination that she has yet to outgrow. Always searching and asking for something bigger, brighter and more powerful for herself, she just never realized this was already within her: she just needed to flip the switch.
Through acting classes Lauren learned to be present and watch how people act and react, and that there is some of you in every single character you play and some of every character in you. From the ground up she learned how to listen, speak, sing and build things leaving school with a knowledge she didn't know how to apply.
Lauren moved to Portland alone in 2005 in an attempt to discover something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Although she'd practiced yoga for 5 years, it was here that she became devoted and realized it was her dharma to spill yoga on everyone she encountered. She learned of Baron Baptiste and cannon-balled into his teacher trainings. Through Baptiste's teachings Lauren realized that she knew everything she needed to know. He flipped her switch, reminding her to be present and watch how people act and react, that there is some of her in everyone and some of everyone in her. She was reminded of how to speak authentically, how to listen, and how to build things from the ground up.
Lauren has been further inspired by Rod Stryker, Seane Corn, Sianna Sherman, D'ana Baptiste, Shiva Rea, and Nicki Doane. She gains insights from her fellow teachers and her students. Lauren still considers herself a student: every day falling a little (some days harder than others) and getting right back up to start again.
