Pam Blair

When Pam discovered yoga in the late 90’s, she felt like she had stumbled upon a hidden treasure and an old friend. After just a few Hatha yoga classes, life led her to Santa Fe, NM where she met her spiritual teacher and began her journey as a student of Surat Shabda Yoga. Her asana practice took the back seat for the next 7 years.
Time for change came again and Portland was her next stop. A friend suggested that she check out Yoga Pearl and after her first vinyasa class, she was thrilled to rediscover her old friend. It did not take long before Pam desired to share her passion with others. She completed her 200 hr Power Vinyasa teacher training with Tiffany Cruikshank at Yoga Pearl and immediately began teaching.
Pam’s asana practice is deeply personal and inspiring to her. She views it as an opportunity to playfully yet earnestly explore, challenge and honor her whole being. This is the passion that she shares with her students. Pam approaches each class like a work of art incorporating creativity, inspiration, structural integrity and strength in each piece. She encourages her students to explore their own universe through an attentive practice both on and off the mat. Ultimately, to Pam teaching is a humble form of service.
In addition to her daily practice, Pam has found further inspiration by taking the opportunity to study with many influential teachers including Seane Corne, Shiva Rhea, Paul Grilley, Tim Miller, Simon Park, Tias Little and Baron Baptiste. When not on the mat, Pam enjoys cooking, sculpting, roadtrips, the outdoors, hanging out with her husband and three dogs |
